Gurley Lake Ranch is a landmark high-mesa rural cluster subdivision consisting of 42 carefully planned home sites from 5 to 35 acres in size located on 500 acres of gently rolling pine, aspen and oak covered hillsides offering grand, panoramic views of the surrounding San Juan Mountains.  Most notable is the solitary and perfectly symmetrical Lone Cone Mountain, which is the western-most of the major peaks in the San Juan range.  Some home sites are nestled in groves of aspen or towering ponderosa pine adjacent to the Gurley Elk Reserve, with others being located along the shore of the Gurley Reservoir.

The Gurley Reservoir is a historic (circa 1889) 300-acre lake offering boating and excellent trout fishing.  Gurley Reservoir is owned and operated by the Farmers Water Development Company.
